I always said that “Selecting right theme for your blog is toughest part after you are done with the domain name“.
Theme is identity of your blog, so a theme must be a good looking one.
I remember the days when I started my blog “Blogging Cage“. I spent almost 20+ sleepless nights. Yes !! 20+
Because I am very selective person and beauty lover. So you can think that a beauty lover will always want a good looking theme on his blog. Picking a Blog theme was very tough job but I did it very well and started with headline theme from woothemes.
You might have seen that many new bloggers are arising everyday and Blogging community in India is shining.
I am running various blogs and now I feel proud to say that all my blogs are running on Genesis Framework now.
As all other bloggers I also love to visit many blogs and read the stuff from them, but there are 2-3 blogs from my list who keep changing their themes.
So I decided to write on this topic that what wrong you are doing with your blog if you are also one of them.
It Kill Authenticity of your Blog
Getting visitors on blog is one of the hardest thing your will do in blogging, but losing them is very easy.
When you have good traffic and people are coming at your blog, that means they are loving your blog and they want to learn more from you.
But What if you are changing theme after every 5-6 days or after every 10-15 days.
This will left a very negative impact on your readers and they will think that admin of this blog is not stable.
So they will avoid to open your blog. Because they don’t like to see new theme everytime they open your blog.
So in the simple term you are killing your blog Authenticity if you are changing your theme frequently.
You are killing your SEO
Changing theme too frequently will kill the SEO of your blog.
Let me take an example.
Suppose I am a person who is interested to advertise on your blog for one month giving my blog link on your sidebar or footer.
Why people love to get links from sidebar/footer because your footer and sidebar are visible in each post so such links give more benefits.
Once the period will over you will remove the link (after one month).
But the same time Google is crawling and indexing your website. So when Google will crawl your blog and see that the link which was present on footer last month is not there now, they will consider this as paid link.
Here you comes in trouble. because Google hate paid backlinks building process.
Why I took this example because while changing your theme you are doing this same process.
As Every theme have link in footer as company name. So this is going to make negative impact on your blog.
You are Killing your Time
As I stated “Theme selection is tough part”
So you are wasting most of your time searching for a good theme.
In the same time you can write a good post or can promote your blog.
Finally I would like to say that stop changing your blog theme again and again because it is making multiple negative impacts.
Select your first theme very carefully and stick with that.
Now your turn !!
I would love to hear from you, so share your thoughts in comments.
